The snow of Salzkammergut

All our winter trips

In high Austria, not far from the beautiful city of Salzburg, the Salzkammergut mountain range comprises 76 limpid lakes in the heart of genuine and pure nature UNESCO world heritage, at an average altitude of 2000m. The landscape of Sazkammergut is unique and makes this ancient region of one the most beautiful of Central Europe. This area is rich in cultural heritage and the typical villages, like Bad Ischl and Gmundenstill, frequently hold traditional celebrations.

Cross-country skiing doesn’t require any specific technical skill on this particular itinerary. It is something you can pick up easily in half a day. Obviously, cross-country skiing at a challenging level is a technical discipline, but we designed this trip in order for you to choose, each day, an Easy, Easy+ or Moderate circuit. The trip is half centre-based with 3 different locations, so you can get a true glimpse of the area, but in comfort!
