Walking Holiday in Tirol, Austria and Germany. Shared between south Germany and north Austria, Tirol is a magical place in the heart of the Alps. Walking across is The best way to discover some of the stunning places: Pristine Mountains, sheer rock faces, narrow canyons, green pasture valleys, and picturesque villages. Although not as high as the western of part of the alps in France, Italy or Switzerland it remains fairly challenging as the highest peak, the Ortler rises at 3 905m, and equally Stunning.

DAY 1 - Coming to Garmisch Partenkirchen
After your flight to Munich. We are waiting for you in Garmisch Partenkirchen, in our modern 2-star hotel in the heart of town. All rooms are en-suite

Town: Internet, ATM, Food shop. all facilities. Hotel: 2* hotel in the heart of the town, all room en-suite. Fantastic view on the valley. Open Fire. Meal: 3 Course dinner

DAY 2 – Höllentalklamm (5h20, 16km, 940m, 1150m)
We take the cable car to Kreuzeck where the famous balcony walk to the “Höllentalklamm”[the hell valley gorges] starts passing under the looming Zugspitze peak[2964m], the highest in Germany . Back to Garmisch Partenkirchen. Possibility to extend the walk.

DAY 3 - Wetterstein Massif, to Wetterstein hut (4h00, 11km, +1150m, 1530m).
Ascent in the gorges at the base of the Wetterstein massif to the romantic castle Schachen, Today you have to carry your overnight gear as we stay in a mountain hut for the night, while the rest is carried by us to the next stage. The mountains huts in Austria offer all commodities and comfort however bathroom facilities are shared.

Town: The hut is couple of km from the town, but call can be made here. Accommodation: Mountain refuge. Double room, in a charming mountain hut. Meal: Breakfast, picnic lunch, 3 Course dinner

DAY 4 – Leutasch valley, to Scharnitz (4h50, 12.8km, +1436m, 3450m).
After an early Breakfast, the rocky trail ascent to rocky a pass before dropping into the lush Leutasch valley. As the walk became easier, we are entering an Idyllic gorge, just before town. 

Town: ATM, food shop, Internet. Hotel: Simple but friendly guesthouse. Room en-suite. Meal: Breakfast, picnic lunch, 3 Course dinner

DAY 5 – Day with Option. To Karwendel hut (1720m) (5h10, 10km, +1194m, 1300m).
After a short transfer we reach totally different scenery with the green pasture of Halleranger and at the heart of the Karwendel valley, a UNESCO world heritage. After two hours we reach the base of the Sunntiger Spitze. Here you have the choice to go to relax around the mountain hut or to ascent this wonderful peak.

Town: The hut is couple of km from the town, but call can be made here. Accommodation: In a atmospheric Mountain hut dominated by the highest peaks in the area, the atmosphere is always very friendly.. Open Fire. Meal: Breakfast, picnic lunch, 3 Course dinner

DAY 6 – Day with Option (5h45, 15km, +1160m, 1780m).
Today, as we stay in the same Mountain hut at 1720m. You have three options to; stay and relax here or to climb one of the surrounding peaks where the views on the 4 parallel limestone chains are breath taking at 2700m; or even to visit a narrow gorge.

DAY 7 – To Innsbruck (3h30, 10.3km, +1476m, 1760m).
For our last day walk we follow another balcony path through several passes to the “Nordkette of Innsbruck” mountain group. Although the trail is rocky and steep and requires stamina, there is no major difficulty encountered. Arriving at the cable car the views on the surrounding peaks and Innsbruck below is striking.

Town: ATM, Food shop, Internet.All facilities, pub, bar and clubs! Hotel: 2 star hotel in the heart of the town, all room en-suite. Great restaurant. Meal: Breakfast, picnic lunch, 3 Course dinner

DAY 8 - Innsbruck
End of the adventure.
After breakfast, we bid you farewell
