This trip brings you to the highest summit in North Africa, the Jebel Toubkal [4167m]. Although this trip doesn't present any major difficulties or technicalities, we rate it “Challenging" as there is an average of 1500m ascent per day.
Our local English-speaking certified guide will show you the way, while the muleteers cook some tasty Moroccan food for you... and their mules carry your luggage!
In Marrakech, you will stay in an en-suite room in a typical Riad 3* hotel in the medina. In the desert, our team will set up a camp every night - except on Day 6 when we will stay with a Berber family, in their traditional flat-roofed house.
Welcome to the most fascinating country in North Africa! |

We start our walk in the late morning, reaching "Marabout Sidi Chemharouch” (2250m) in about 2 hours. Here, our cook has prepared a lunch made of salad, vegetables, mint tea, dessert and seasonal fruits. We then continue to climb on a very easy mule track, until we reach Toubkal refuge at 3200m.

From here you will enjoy panoramic views of the plains of the north and of the desert in the south. Back at camp there's some refreshing mint tea awaiting us.
